Modified all the pin holes so the factory pins can be used and wont fall all the way through.

You can use the Glock pins I sell

or the factory pins:

Glock Maintenance Pins

These are great if you need to test and disassemble your Glock frame multiple time in one sitting. Such as adjusting your trigger shoe, trigger housing, or adjusting your connector.

They can be used to dry fire your Glock, to check to see if more changes are required. If there are, you can use the handle to easily remove the pins and make your adjustments.

DO NOT use for live fire!

When you are done, you can push them out with the factory pins or pull them out and install your factory pins and head to the range.

Pistol Deep Cleaning!

This is what I do for deep cleaning my pistols. I don’t want to get into the endless debate over how and when you should clean, that’s up to you. I am only showing what I do.

This is a shot of my setup before initial take down.

Gun cleaning before take down

I use my Harbor Freight ultra sonic cleaner with a 30:1 ratio of distilled water:Simple Green set on heat for 16 minutes. 8 minutes flip / adjust parts another 8 minutes. Small parts go into a jar or solution filled zip lock bag.

Then I blow everything off:

Then I drop the parts in my Bald Eagle ultra sonic cleaner with a 20:1 ratio of Distilled water:Ballistol set on 122 degrees for 20 minutes. 10 minutes flip / adjust parts another 10 minutes. I put the small parts in a jar with the same solution.

I blow and wipe everything off then lay the parts out back on the work bench.

Glock Slide Vises!

Wish you had a 3rd hand to hold your Glock slide while you are working on it? Trying to adjust your sights or add an optic? This tool is for you. There are 3 models one for each slide type/size.

The images here might show different slide sizes, the tool functions the same for all of them.

After you separate your slide from the frame, you slide the block in from the back of the slide. It will be a snug fit, you might have to pinch the sides to get it to slide in.

You do not need to remove any parts from your slide to get it to work. In most cases you are going to want to keep the block to the back of the slide, where most of your work is going to be done.

The Glock slide tool is made from non-marring plastic that is softer than the slide. Over time is will wear and become loose, to correct that, I added a tightening screw. As you thread it in it will spread holding the slide tighter.

With the barrel and recoil spring removed the Glock slide block can be used at any position on the slide.

Glock Safety Plunger Holder and Polishing

When polishing any small part like the Glock safety plunger using buffung wheels on my grinder the part would at times go flying out and get damaged or temporarly lost. To help with that I create and print the Glock Safety Plunger Holder. I have different versions for different models and generations:

Plunger Holder.stl:

GLOCK – Armorers course

I recently took the Glock Armors course. It was fun, got to hang out with some like minded individuals and have some good conversation. Both the Instructor and the Sales guy stated several times that Glock is very Military and Law Enforcement oriented and that those groups are around 80% of Glocks business. Any input from anyone but those 2 groups will fall on mostly deaf ears.

If you don’t pass, it is because you don’t want to. That said, I am still out if the “Certification” holds any real value other than a civilian / business being committed enough to spend $250 on some swag. Maybe parts straight from Glock? There is no certification number to identify you, no logo for your business from Glock I could find, no website for customers to verify you are currently certified.

The Law Enforcement customers don’t individually pay for the class or get reimbursed. The LE guys I talked to need continuing education points and like to shoot. The free class is a win-win for them.

In the class I took, the benefits of Certification were never touched on. No idea from the class how to order parts or who to contact if I need something. No “front of the line” if I need help. Law enforcement get a hold of your sales guy. You will get a gray scale certificate in the mail 4-6 week after the class.

I don’t know if I will spend my own money to get re-certified. I just cant think of a benefit for myself. I could buy a lot of Glock factory parts from a reseller for the money I spent, maybe even a new Glock with the GSSF Pistol Purchase Coupon or a good part of it. Ammo and Training….

Class $250

Gas at least $50

Lodging / Meals $100

I do not consider GSSF membership to be part of the value of the Certification. 2 Separate things.

Don’t get me wrong, I will shoot my Glocks until they fall apart. I just don’t see what the certification gives me, what the value is. Over $400 is a lot for lunch, socializing, and a piece of paper no one will ask for.

1-24-23: I have been ordering a lot of parts. I am starting to see a return on my investment. I will keep updating.

Pistol Log Book

I have a log book for each of my pistols. I track what is installed, magazines, rounds fired per barrel and total. I also track, reload data and maintenance.  I wanted to post it here to see if anyone has improvement ideas.

Pistol Log Book

Download it HERE

This is NOT my idea, I am not and dont want to take credit for it. I found pages on the internetz, took what I wanted and put them in a binder.
